Our mission is to build bridges between homes and schools, advocate on behalf of students in schools, and encourage parent and public involvement in public schools. We encourage parents to take an active role in their child's education.

If you are wondering how you can be involved with the PTSA send us an email by clicking "Contact Us" to the left. PHS encourages all parents, students, faculty and staff to join our PTSA. Your membership enables us to support a variety of activities and events.

Last year, we awarded $2500 in scholarships to 6 graduating seniors and $1,900 in grants to teachers, clubs, and organizations. PTSA activities and events include: Weekly Electronic Newsletter (E-news), Make a Difference Day, Arts in Education programs, Honors Convocation for all grades, Senior Recognition Day, and Teacher/Staff Appreciation Day.

Everything Students & Parents Want to Know About Going to College
Monday, May 2, 2016
7:00 PM in the PHS Library

Join the Penfield High School PTSA and PHS Counseling Office for a valuable discussion on what college-going students and their parents can expect when they enter their first year of college. Seniors and Juniors, and their families are encouraged to attend. Other grades are welcome.

Leaders from the Parent's Offices of SUNY Geneseo, RIT, and University of Rochester will speak on:

How to make connections with students, faculty, and staff,
Finding your balance - learning to manage your time.
What does the first semester at school look like?

They will be joined by students and staff members from their orientation programs, and others who can answer questions from both parents and students.

Both group Q&A and individual question/discussion opportunities will be provided.
